carpe noctem

I had a grand night. I'm still having a grand night. Or is it a grand new day?
lina o vinglas.jpg
Micaela took this photo. We really like it.
hjärtat i baren.jpg
Another visit to our favourite luminiscent bar (Carpe Noctem that is).
öl.jpg
And this time I can show you the beautiful beers we got to drink.

Now we're thinking about seizing the new day by taking a morning walk. Or maybe a nap?

I don't need to sleep. I'm sharp enough to post this on Micaela's stupid mac (which is difficult, trust me...). You should see it, the sun and the view of Stockholm. And feel it, and remember it. It was a grand night, and it'll be a grand day.

a cozy evening after an intense day

Yesterday, which involved photographing and filming was very interesting. It was great to see a real (super talented, creative and sweet) photographer in action. But that's another story.
kanelbullar
Is there a better way to finish up a long day than with homemade kanelbullar (cinnamon rolls?) and some more crocheting?
virkning
Since everyone is rippling I tried it as well (with single crochet, and only in the back loops this time). And it is nice, slightly more varied than just making normal stripes. But I doubt that my ripples will be lying on a bed or warming cold feet.

thrifted curtain

I thrifted this curtain a month ago. Today I finally got it up (after ripping a seam and ironing it) - without falling out through my window or stepping on my laptop.
gardin
Today the sun was shining and actually warming for the first time for quite a while. That, and my new cloudy orange curtain - and the way it doesn't quite match my yellow walls (which I normally hate, but today I was actually thinking of not repainting them) made my day.

The pattern is a classic (but I think the original has blue background). I can't remember the name of the designer, and I'm not sure if it first came as fabric or as wallpaper (I saw it on a wallpaper exhibition at Nordiska Museet). Can you tell me?

seen this weekend

söta mössor
Look at these super cute matching hats (it was an elderly couple at the bus). I wonder if he or she knitted them - or maybe someone else?

You should see Les parapluies de Cherbourg. It's worth it just for the lovely colours and patterns. This film put me in a very strange mood (eller var det piggelinen?). The world outside the cinema felt kind of gray (why isn't my life colour coordinated?!). But in the same time I was relieved that my friends and I don't have to sing every single word we utter... It was an inspiring experience (I never thought of musicals as ground-breaking and creative).
lila
My favourite wallpaper (together with the one with oranges, Molly's favourite)
randig
Stripes...
blommig
And flowers (it was even better when Catherine Deneuve wore a beautiful nightgown with lace and a matching blue silk ribbon)
självlysande hjärta
I love the bar at Carpe Noctem. I don't know what it's made of, how it works, or what it's called... It's heat sensitive (I guess?), so you can draw on it with your finger, and the beer is illuminated (Lilla Lila didn't cooperate when I ordered, so no photo, sorry). This is Micaela's artwork.
värma händerna
There are also candles to warm up cold fingers.
parasollkorvstånd
Why on earth would you want to have six parasols on one small hot-dog stand ? And why did we pass this one three times when all we wanted was kebab?
p som i salt
P som i salt? (P as in salt) By then it was late enough for us to find that higly amusing. Why is it that falafel is so tasty and nice by night?

SPC: this used to be a part of me

This is my wisdom tooth. Or at least it used to be, until yesterday. There is still my blood on it, still red and fresh. So I consider this a self-portrait.
visdomstand
For about two years, it lead a dull life and went by quite unnoticed. Then, last week, my wisdom tooth started to predominate my life. Now it has had its fair share of fame and glory - and I had my fair share of pain. Last night my wisdom tooth ended up in a plastic bag at the dentist (I'm sure she set up a speed record - I swear it didn't take more than 5 minutes after I sat down in that chair until it was out). Then we lived happily ever after...

I miss you

(a sticker at Hornstull)
jag saknar dig
There are persons on three different continents that I'd like to see right now. Jag saknar dig, tu me manques, I miss you...

snö?!

snö
Waking up, getting out of bed and looking out of my window... to se this. Total confusion - was I still asleep, dreaming or hallucinating? No, it was the same nightmare in all of our windows. Welcome to Sweden. Please get me away from here :(

ett foto i timmen

Fotoprojektet Ett foto i timmen (EFIT) verkar trevligt.

Stockholm i mitt hjärta

"Stockholm in my heart" (singing)
I love my home town. There are so many nice spots, details and views. Always more to discover, visit and revisit. These are from Sunday, from a long long walk with Maria.
isakzons snickeri
The cutest sign in Stockholm?
stolen
If this chair was closer to where I live I would sit in it and read, study, think, or listen to the birds every single day.
tvätt
I can't think of anything I wouldn't do to get to hang my laundry there.
katt1
katt2
katt3
First time I saw these. Everyone should come and see them! (on the way to Skinnaviksparken, Södermalm, sorry I'm no good with street names)
sol
This was kind of unexpected on this spot.
alltåtalla
tant
I can't decide whether I hate or love Hop Louie. He's just... too good. I'm quite sure that I love this lovely old lady though.

SPC: hands & heart

April self-portrait challenge is the body. Very challenging, a bit too close for me. A possibility to push my limits? This is my first try, not so sure about it... I might like this B&W version of it better?
hjärta
Not very happy about these two liver spots. But they're part of me so I wanted to include them. Hmm...
