my P S postcard for April

I thought I should share my Project Spectrum Postcard before April is over. This is how it turned out.

I was thinking of the sun when I made it, being happy that it's back now. I love the spring and summer in Sweden, but sometimes I wonder if it's worth it: the winter is so dark and sometimes it never seems to end.

And here's another ATC, created from the piece I knitted on the train. I wanted it to come to use (and there's not very much to do with a that small piece), but I kind of regret sending it away. I was really proud of my knitting. At least I still have the photos to prove that I actually made it :)

I'm so happy, and relieved, that the idla show is over. My muscles are stiff, I was so tense and nervous. But I really made it. I'm kind of proud of myself. I remember being a little girl, admiring the show group. And now I'm actually in it, after almost fifteen years :)

spring

Spring is finally here. I find new signs of it everyday on my way to school. It almost makes me sad, it's the most wonderful time of the year, and it's over so fast. But then there's summer, and I kind of like that too :)

Yesterday I took some photos of tussilagos (coltsfoot I think)

And today some scillas. It was raining, but I think the raindrops are beautiful (though they don't really show on the photo)

Tomorrow I'm having a show with idla (yes, I'm an idla girl, like in the fifties, ask your grandparents, they might be able to explain it to you :) ). I'm already getting nervous. Tomorrow I'll be running around with three of those big shiny balls.

Wish me luck!

Stitched ATC's

I'm participating in a swap with Stitched ATC's at the Artist Trading Cards Forum. I really like the theme, the cards were so fun to make. I haven't decided yet whether to do a fourth one (for the swap host). I'd like to include a tiny piece that I knitted in an ATC.

I guess knitting is just not my thing. But I really want to learn :( This little bit took me more than an hour (the hardest was to cast off!). My little sister tried to teach me on the train home from Duved (we spent Easter skiing in the north of Sweden). But I think I will stick with crochet.

Here's the two ATC's for the swap.

Njurar     The way to school

The one to the right is my way to school, stitched on a map of my part of Stockholm. The third ATC for the swap will be Les tournesols, which I originally made with Procets Spectrum in mind. I'm glad that I could use it somehow.

P S Postcard Swap

My April partner for the Projects Spectrum Postcard Swap is Nicola. She sent me this lovely card.

Thanks a lot, Nicola, your card makes me smile each time I look at it. Take a look at Nicola's collages. I wish I was that talented...

Project Spectrum Mail Art

Now it's April, and time for orange and yellow in Project Spectrum. I've already started with this ATC.

I want to get back into mail art. Yesterday I joined ATCards.com, it seems like a great forum, I can't wait to join a swap.

Mum bought these beautiful tulips. I love them, I don't think I've seen this pointy kind before. And they're orange!

Last weekend, I made a red and pink deco. It's almost the same as the ATC, but different colours (it was still March, which meant red and pink). I like stitching these little flowers. I so wish that I could see some for real. Spring never seems to come to Stockholm, there's still snow here :(
